Our program costs Nothing to join. Our solution is self-funded by the savings we produce for your company.
If you don't save from our program, you dont pay anything.

How do we get started?
Simply register without any obligation. A very brief online survey will be emailed to you that you can complete in a few minutes time. One of our consultants will contact you by phone to discuss potential savings we can arrange for your company. If we don't think we can save you money, we'll tell you without wasting your time. At a minimum you'll get an experienced third party opinion on the "health" of your logistics operation and your savings potential.

How can your reduce our costs?
Our ability to negotiate on a larger pool of shipments, the contracts we negotiate, and using each carrier's technology enables Sanchez clients to secure better pricing contracts. We also work with government agencies that subsidize certain initiatives, allowing us to pass savings to our clients.

How do we ensure our new pricing is applied?
For small package and LTL quotes that are not bid on by carriers, the party shipping the freight must provide the driver with a copy of the BOL. For international,truckload, heavy air frieght, simply initiate bids with us and the final pricing accepted will be the price paid. In all cases, the documentation given to the driver at pickup must match the information provided when requesting your quote or there is a chance pricing will be adjusted due to incomplete or inaccurate information.

What happens if I receive a bill directly from a carrier?
This rarely happens, but it it does simply call our customer service department at 414-777-5744 and fax us a copy of the bill you received. Our customer service team will be happy to take care of it and have charges properly credited. To prevent problems in the future, please make sure that the shipper gives the driver a copy of shipping documents on every shipment.

When should LTL freight carriers be used?
As a general rule when a shipment weighs more than 150 lbs. Truck transportation is more economical than parcel service(UPS, FedEx). If your shipment weighs more than 8,000 lbs, you may need a truckload (TL) carrier. Standard procedure for LTL and TL carriers involve pickup and delivery to a loading dock without the use of a liftgate, loading the shipment onto the truck by shipper, and driving the cargo to the receiving destination where it is unloaded by the recipient (consignee). Any shipment that does follow "standard procedure" may be assessed additional shipping costs. We will provide you and your suppliers with discounted freight rates at substantial savings on shipments that do not meet standard procedures.

Are transit times guaranteed?
Transit times are guaranteed only if noted by the carrier quote. All other transit times are reliable, but not guaranteed. Transit times do not include the day of pickup.

What happens if my shipment isn't ready when the driver comes?
Most commonly, the driver will NOT wait. The driver will be dispatched for the following day, which delays your service. You will be assessed a fee if the carrier charges SanLog for the duplicated pickup. You may also be subjected to a Truck Order Not Used (TONU) for canceling the order 24 hours before pickup.

Can the weight of a shipment be estimated?
LTL: If an inaccurate weight or class is used reulsting in the shipment being reweighed or re-classed by the carrier, the adjusted price is passed on to you. Reweighing may also delay delivery. TL: As long as you have ordered a Full, Dedicated truck, estimating the weight is OK if you are certain the load does not surpass the trucks maximum weight limit. (Usually 44,000 Lbs. for a Van and 48,000 Lbs. for a Flatbed)

How are claims handled?
Claims are handled directly between the shipper, consignee, and the carrier. Sanchez Logistics is not involved in the actual claims process and cannot influence a carrier's claim decision. Claims with the carrier must be filed within 90 days of delivery. The claimant should only file for loss or damage on the product which was shipped. ALWAYS be as concise as possible in noting specific damage on the delivery receipt. Our representatives can coach you on filing a claim and provide the proper forms.

Do I call the carrier to schedule Pickup?
Yes. You will contact the carrier directly and arrange for pickup of your shipments.

Can I schedule a shipment for same day pick up?
Yes, but this service cannot be guaranteed due to each carriers capacity. Please allow a 4-hour window before your pickup location/ dock closes so a driver dispatched has a chance of arriving on the same day. Please note that carriers normally make pickups in the afternoon and deliver in the morning.

What is dimensional weight?
Dimensional weight is a standard formula used by all delivery services that uses a package's density instead of actual weight when the package is light but consumes more cargo space (low density). Transportation charges are based on the gross weight of the shipment or the dimensional weight of the shipment; whichever is greater. For example, a box filled with foam rubber might use dimensional weight rather than the actual weight.

What is a lift-gate and when is it required?
When the shipping or receiving address does not have a loading dock, manual loading or unloading is necessary.
A lift-gate is a mechanism at the back of the truck that can raise and lower a shipment from the ground to the truck. Additional fee apply for this service depending on the carrier you choose.
